A wide range of PSE’s in Redwood and Whitewood is stocked at all sites in grades and lengths to suit local requirements. These are typically packed in Trade Packs containing about one to one and half cubic metres with most items available in loose metre runs where pack quantities are unsuitable. Selected lengths can be provided subject to availability.

Unsorted Redwood

A limited range of key sizes are available for customers where the more common 5th or lower grades are not suitable. Sideboard quality is used for 25mm board items and door stop sections are generally produced from thicker sections. Also available from Andover are door stop sections where high quality sideboards have been used as the base material. Door stop sections are always supplied in lengths 4.2 metres and longer.

Fifth Redwood

A comprehensive range of sections up to 100 x 100mm is stocked in all locations. Many of these are stocked in length packages with due consideration given to the usual end use of any particular section, e.g. lining sections are usually available in 4.2/5.1 metre lengths. 25mm thicknesses are produced from both imported boards and 2 ex 50mm battens. A range of 3.0 metre lengths is available in several sections.

Fourth Russian Redwood

When market conditions are appropriate, i.e. when there is a considerable price gap between 4th Russian and 5th Scandinavian, a small range of key sizes are carried in stock at some locations.

Sixth Redwood

Several branches offer 25mm thick PSE’s from stock machined from 6th Redwood boards from selected Swedish productions.

Sawfalling Whitewood

Wide boards up to 275mm, board sizes from 22 x 50 up to 225mm are available from all locations together with 32 x 115/138mm lining sections in the southern branches.

Sixth Whitewood

Large stocks of 22 x 150mm are held at Andover specifically for the London market.
