Placing an order
However you order your Timber products, you can be sure you will receive the best possible service from one of our friendly staff. Our four distribution centres are ideally spread across the country meaning we can get to you, our customers, with ease and assurance that it will be there when you need it. At Snows, our products range from interior skirting and cladding to decking and fencing for the outside and much more. All of our top-quality products have been designed with our customers wants and needs at the forefront. And if you didn’t already know, we now offer all softwood with specific length codes so you can order your exact needs. We make it easier for you.
We understand that you want a fuss free, speedy transaction. That’s why our staff are there to ensure the process of ordering is made as simple as possible. Our experienced and knowledgeable team are on hand to source whatever material you’re looking for and are happy to advise you on what products may be best if you are unsure yourself. With over 100 years of experience, Snows Timber is confident you can find exactly what you need from our vast product range, as well as the accessories to go with it.

Now it’s the beginning for us.
Loading up your order
With four distribution centres across the country, we pride ourselves in having a responsive service and supply network that reaches across the nation. We operate from Andover in Hampshire, Dudley in the West Midlands, Glastonbury in Somerset and Mansfield in Nottinghamshire with over 200 highly trained staff.
Once your order is placed, staff at your nearest Snows Timber depot get on with the job of loading your goods onto one of our lorries. Everything is loaded safely and secured firmly, by hand if possible, or via a crane or lift, if not. This way we can ensure that your delivery will reach you in the same condition that it leaves us.
Hitting the road
Snows Timber has its own fleet of over 40 lorries, continuously maintained and renowned for their reliability as they make hundreds of deliveries every week across England and Wales. At peak periods, a Snows Timber lorry will leave one of our four distribution sites every 20 minutes.
We have a number of different lorries in our fleet, all in our trademark bright yellow paintwork. We even have HIAB lorries among our vehicles, utilising loader cranes, forestry cranes, tail lifts and truck-mounted forklifts – enough to handle even the biggest shipments. This variety of transport is our assurance to you that we can deliver your goods no matter what the situation is at your end of the journey.
All of our drivers are highly trained professionals with expertise in timekeeping and punctuality. Our customers know they can rely on our delivery service; providing you with your goods when you need them.
Direct to your doorstep
Our four depots cast a wide distribution net across the country, meaning we can reach even the most remote builders’ merchant or timber yard. Our Supply Chain & Logistics Director, Craig Willoughby, takes great pains in making sure that our deliveries are handled in the most efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner possible, bringing decades of experience to a vital role in the company
Dropping off and moving on
When our delivery team arrive at your chosen destination, you don’t need to worry about the fuss of unloading the goods – we’ve got it covered. Our staff take the same care unloading your goods wherever you would like them as they did loading it up at one of our depots. Our staff are fully trained in health and safety, and equipped with everything they need for a smooth job. All you need to do is tell us where you’d like the shipment unloaded. With larger orders, the team might arrive on site in one of our HIAB lorries, which boast enough specialised loading and unloading equipment to handle any size job.
Once checked and signed for, our team will pack up and be on their way, ready to deliver to our next valued customer.
And that’s the end of the of the Snow’s supply chain. All that’s left for us is to replenish our stock levels. Snows Timber have a strict policy when it comes to purchasing timber, and we are proud to be an environmentally responsible company. In fact, 99% of our wood material is FSC/PEFC certified. We always give preference to purchasing any of our wood and timber from sources that have been certified as sustainably managed and chain of custody approved. We undertake due diligence when sourcing the raw materials for our products, as required by the European Timber Regulations (EUTR), so you can rest easy knowing that when you place an order from Snows, you’re placing it with a company that cares about the world we live in.
