Snow's Timber, formerly John Snow & Co Ltd, have been trading in timber in Glastonbury covering the west country as one of its leading timber importers and sawmillers for well over 100 years.
In recent times, the company was acquired by another well known west country firm, Bradford & Sons in 1986 at which time the name changed to the present Bradfords Timber Supplies Ltd, t/a Snows Timber.
In the mid 1990's, Snow's, along with its Andover based sister company, embarked on a strategy to concentrate on the production of machined softwood aimed principally at two markets, independent timber and builders merchants and manufacturers of sheds, garden buildings etc.
Since then, over £2 million has been invested in two high speed machining lines as sales of machined softwood increased.
The operation now regularly covers South Wales, Gloucestershire and parts of Worcestershire as well as its traditional Bristol, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall trading territories.
