The 7 acre Andover site was developed in the 1960’s when the Andover Timber Company moved out of its town centre location to a site about 2 miles from town.
Andover Timber was later acquired by the BTR conglomerate and absorbed into their well established timber business trading as F J Reeves & Son. The business at Andover was then bought by the Bradfords group and became a sister to the groups timber operation at Glastonbury. At the same time its trading name changed to Snows Timber.
Today, the Andover branch of Snows Timber supplies softwood to independent timber and builders merchants and other wood using industries to a wide area from Bournemouth in the west to Dover in the east and north into Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire including the whole of London to where several loads are despatched daily.
