A wide range of PSE’s in Redwood and Whitewood is stocked at all sites in grades and lengths to suit local requirements. These are typically packed in Trade Packs containing about one to one and half cubic metres with most items available in loose metre runs where pack quantities are unsuitable. Selected lengths can be provided subject to availability.

A number of different profiles are stocked within Snows and these are illustrated below. Many are available in reversible sections, e.g. Torus/Ogee. Most items are packed in Trade Packs typically containing about one to one and half cubic metres in random lengths although selected lengths may be available in some instances. A variety of raw material options are used, from Unsorted Redwood sideboard quality (almost clear) to Fifth Redwood according to local demand and tradition.

All architrave sections supplied by Snows are in lengths 4.2 metres and longer, usually restricted to 4.2 and 5.1 metre lengths. Most items are packed in Trade Packs typically containing about one to one and half cubic metres. Smaller quantities can be provided where needed. A variety of raw material options are used, from Unsorted Redwood sideboard quality (almost clear) to Fifth Redwood according to local demand and tradition.

A wide range of moulded sections is stocked throughout Snows and these are almost exclusively manufactured from Unsorted European Redwood. In particular, small moulded sections are produced from sideboard quality (virtually clear). Where appropriate, e.g. Ovolo door stop, lengths are restricted to 4.2 metres and longer. All stock mouldings are supplied in piece or small bundle quantities as required.

A range of popular sections of Primed MDF Mouldings is carried in all Snows locations, supplied from one of Europe’s leading manufacturers. All raw material used in manufacture has been FSC certified.

Snows branches all stock a range of tongued and grooved softwood flooring in both Fifth Redwood and Sawfalling Whitewood, available in Trade Packs (about one to one and half cubic metres) or loose picked metre runs as required. In addition, SnowFloor is flooring precision machined from Scandinavian Redwood which has been extra kiln dried for stability.

Door lining and casing sets are stocked in all branches in accordance with regional building practices. These can be supplied in small packs or loose quantities as required.

Snows Timber are one of the U.K.’s leading manufacturers of claddings for the shed and garden building industry and illustrated here are a number of the profiles routinely produced and stocked at the various branches. Generally machined from Fourth/Fifth quality Redwood we can also manufacture in Whitewood and lower grades of Redwood upon request. SnowDek is a range of high quality softwood decking boards plus a range of components providing a flexible system to create individual decking schemes. Deck boards are manufactured from European Redwood sourced from either FSC or PEFC managed forests.

All SnowDek products are treated with Tanalised E wood preservative and have a long, low maintenance service life of over 15 years.

All branches carry stocks of basic fencing timbers in both Green and Brown treated. Fencing products are available in small single pack lots for merchants and contractors who are unable to accommodate full articulated lorry loads direct from sawmills.

We stock considerable volumes of high quality sawn Redwood and Whitewood, all sourced from leading producers in Scandinavia.  As well as standard Unsorted and Fifth qualities in most sections from 100 x 225mm down to 19 x 100mm, we stock UPM centre free Redwood and also wide Whitewoods in several dimensions.

We are able to offer a first class bespoke machining service including cross cut components.  Listed below is the range of sections regularly stocked subject to availability.  All sections are available in  full sized imported packs (about 4m3) or in smaller, loose metre runs as required. 

Snows Timber branches stock kiln dried carcassing timbers, all purchased from FSC and/or PEFC certified sources. The stock is mainly concentrated on Swedish machine graded to C16/C24 supplemented by smaller volumes from other certified European mills including the U.K. and Ireland. We can supply in packs, split packs or picked lengths subject to availability.

North American and speciality softwood species from Europe are obtainable from all branches and your enquiries are welcome. The following is brief guide to what can be sourced, subject to minimum quantities.

Snows Timber branches carry substantial stocks of panel products for supply in pack lots or in loose sheet quantities as required. A cut size facility is also available. Panel products are mostly sourced from U.K. and Irish manufacturers and specialist importers, concentrating on those products carrying FSC or PEFC certification.
